Mrs. Hendrix, age 88, of Charlotte, died Thursday, January 13, 2011. Born September 1, 1922 in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late Martin Johnson and Bertha Murphy Johnson. Mrs. Hendrix was a homemaker. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church.
The service to celebrate the life of Lillian Johnson Hendrix will be held 2:00 PM Monday, January 17, 2011 from the graveside at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Survivors include three children, Lillian Joan Jordan of Concord, Edward S. Blake of Charlotte and Patricia J. Watts of SC; and four grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hendrix was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Hendrix; and a brother, Arthur E. Johnson.
