Charlotte - Mrs. Guin went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on April 12, 1927 in Charlotte and was the daughter of Fred Garland Coulter and Carrie Alice Rhoney Coulter. A Charlotte native, Linda graduated from Central High School (1945) and continued her education at Mars Hill College, graduating in 1947, and started her career as a lab technician. Her loves in life included her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her lifelong sweetheart and husband Al, and her precious family, extended family and many friends. She was a most decidedly a virtuous Proverbs 31 woman, who always put others first. Self-sacrificing, virtuous, loving, faithful, industrious, humorous, creative and wise was Linda Marie Coulter Guin. All who knew and loved her were touched by her sweet and giving spirit.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Allen Lester Guin, Jr. and precious sister, Bonnie Coulter Pack and husband Brownlow M. Pack, Jr. She is the loving mother and mother-in-law of Alinda Guin Holland Pierce and husband H. Ray Pierce, Cynthia Guin Furnari and husband Vincent P. Furnari, Jr., Fred Christopher Guin and wife Patricia P. Guin, and Cherri Guin Propst and husband Jerry C. Propst. She was adored by her eight grandchildren and their families, Haydn Stewart Hasty, Jr., Hayley H. LeSuer and husband Daniel; and great-grandchildren, twins Daniel Briggs and Harper Abigail, Andy Stephen Holland, Jeffrey Coulter Holland, Christopher Allen Guin, Michael Coulter Guin and Christian Paul Furnari.
Along with her family, she would have most assuredly thanked her present caregivers, Cynthia, Dorothy, Carmencita, Darlene, Judy, Tangela and Kelly for their loving and devoted care, as well as past caregivers, Lauran, Wanda, Hattie, Maggie, Debbie and Andrea. A special thanks to Pat Lookabill of Home Care Referrals of Charlotte for her constant service to the Guin family.
Linda Marie will be immensely missed, especially her sweet smile. Her family gives praise and thanks to the Lord for her life, her witness and her legacy of love.
