Linda Carol Smith

Linda Carol Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on September 23, 1946, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Linda grew up with a generous spirit and a steadfast love for her family and community.

Throughout her life, Linda was known for her kindness, resilience, and unwavering compassion. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued, whether through a comforting word, a heartfelt laugh, or a simple act of care. Her warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda cherished time spent with her family and loved ones, celebrating life’s big milestones as well as its simple, everyday joys. Her legacy will live on in the traditions she nurtured, the values she passed down, and the countless memories she created.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her presence will remain forever in their hearts.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Smith; her father, William Arnett; her mother, Margaret Arnett; and her sister, Peggy Carson. She is survived by her cherished children: Jerry, William, Daniel, and Linda Anne; grandchildren Jerry, Josh, Abigail, and Charlotte Anne.

A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Monday, Deecember 15, 2025 at Wilson Funeral Service, 5301 Albemarle Road, Charlotte where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful life she lived.
