Loretta Diane Hill

Diane was born on March 5, 1945, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she spent her formative years. Throughout her life, she held a variety of jobs; however, traveling the world with her husband, Art, and raising her two sons, gave her the most joy.

Diane approached life with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. More than anything, she was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and volunteering with her church.

She is survived by her sons, Jeff (Rebecca) and Eric; her grandchildren, Grace, Noah, and Aiden (children of Jeff and Rebecca); her brother, Randy Short (Peggy) and her sister,Jill Short, and her grand-dogs, Baron and Hank.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Loretta and Charles Short; her brothers, Rick and Scott Short; and her beloved husband, Art Hill.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm, Pineville United Methodist Church, 110 S. Polk St., Pineville, NC 28134
