

He was born the 7th of June, 1930 in Stenoma, Greece to the late Spero Kalevas and Evagelia Bania Kalevas. He emmigrated to the United States in 1971 to Fayetteville, NC and relocated his family to Charlotte in 1976.
The Kalevas family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday, the 2nd of March, 2022 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 600 East Blvd., Charlotte, NC. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Loukas is survived by his daughter, Athanasia Karanikas and a son, Spero Kalevas and his wife, Lamprini; a brother, George Kalevas and a sister, Helen Makris; five grandchildren: Loukas Kalevas, John Kalevas, Chrisanthy Karanikas, Christos Karanikas and Loukas Karanikas; three great grandchildren: Ioanais, Athanasia and Fotis Karanikas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Xanthy Kalevas and a son-in-law, The Reverend Ioannis Karanikas.
