Lucille Garris “Lucy” Tarlton, 79, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Open Door. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Randolph Tarlton, father James V. Garris, and brother Billy Joe Garris. Lucille is survived by her mother Nola Mae Garris, daughters Linda Howard and Pam Roberts; grandchildren Renee Scott-Moore (Jay), Stephanie Huffman (David), and Jason Roberts; great-grand children Taylor and Tyler; sisters Delores Triplett, Jean Cothran, Carolyn Summerlin, and Sherry Whitesides, and brothers Jimmy and Clyde Garris.
