

With family by her side, Peggy Ross died peacefully on November 22, 2010. Peggy was born December 29, 1918 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Graeme Ross, who passed away in 1984.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Margaret Ellen and Jerry Shank of Bel Air, MD; daughter and son-in-law Betty and Paul Parker of Charlotte; son and daughter-in-law Robert G. and Jackie Ross of Crofton, MD; daughter and son-in-law Mary Lynne Ross and Michael Townsley of Vale, NC; and daughter and son-in-law Kathleen B. Ross and Scott Miller of Wake Forest, NC. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Peggy was a devoted member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church from it’s inception in 1957 and was an active participant in school and church committees. She was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed the Opera for many years.
Peggy and Graeme inspired a love of the beach in their children and grandchildren, and filled their lives with pleasant memories of boating, fishing, and playing in the sand.
A Prayer Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday November 26, 2010 at Harry & Bryant Funeral Home, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte, with visitation following until 6 o’clock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov 27th at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
