Margaret Kenney Woods, age 81 of Charlotte, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013. She was born Leap Year Day, 1932, in Clarke County Georgia. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ted Woods, brothers David Kenney and Harry Kenney; her three children, Mike Woods, wife Debbie;Cheryl Eckard, Husband Steve; Beverly Polson, husband Rocky. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: April (Lee), Billy (Brittany), Anna (Dan), Erin ( Will), Scott (Shelby), Matt, Andrew, Joseph, and ten great-grandchildren. Her family and friends know her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Special thanks to the staff at Presbyterian Hospital and Hospice, and ComForCareHomeCare. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 7th from 1:00-1:45 pm at Thrift United Methodist Church, 8245 Moore's Chapel Road, Charlotte, NC 28214, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 at the church. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Thrift United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 205, Paw Creek, NC 28130.
