Doris, as she liked to be called, was an amazing mother and grandmother. Her love and devotion to her family was unsurpassed. After Ernie passed away in 1973, she moved to Pennsauken, NJ to live with family. In 2006 she moved to Matthews, NC to live with her daughter, Karen. Some of Doris’ favorite things were: Her grandson, Seth; doing projects with her brother Peter, in which she was always the supervisor; working in the flower garden (she could be found outside even on the hottest of days); decorating and painting, and watching old movie musicals. She will always be remembered for her witty sense of humor and generous heart.

My sister Doris and I had a wonderful relationship over many years and it's difficult to cope with her passing. During all of our time together we never once had an argument or disagreement about anything. We worked on projects around the house together and it's true she was the supervisor and I was the worker and I enjoyed kidding her about that. She was a very kind person and was almost like my second mother due to our age difference. I will keep the good memories of our times together for the rest of my life . May she rest in eternal peace.
