Her parents were Kirkland S. and Rena Bright Lamb.
Preceding her in death was a son, Graham MacPherson Johnston (Tracey).
She is survived by her husband, Wendell G. Johnston; two sons, J. Kirkland Johnston (Gayle) and Benjamin Charles Johnston (Sheri); and a sister, Lillian Lamb Williams.
Martha received the Lord Jesus as her Savior as a child. She graduated from Central High School in Charlotte, and later, from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. She taught in elementary schools in Charlotte and Dallas. She married Wendell G. Johnston on June 4, 1954.
She was an active member of Grace Bible Church in Dallas. During her lifetime, she taught Bible classes for women. Martha was active throughout her life, serving on the board of directors for various Christian organizations, as well as Chairman of the Board of her father’s company. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Martha had three sons, four nephews, seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
