Mrs. Cobb 89, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2012, at Wilora Lake Nursing Home. She was born January 9, 1923, In Aiken County, SC, daughter of the late Henry and the late Sarah Busch. She was a graduate of Winthrop College Class of 1942, and had retired as an employee of the City of Charlotte. Together with her parents she was predeceased by her husband Jim Cobb and her brother William Busch. Mrs. Cobb is survived by her daughter Sally Cobb Deese, granddaughter Emily Deese and grandson Andrew Deese. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212, Reverend Terry Prince officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen City Cemetery.
