Mary "Katy" Kathryn Millwood

Katy Millwood, 54, of Charlotte, NC, passed away August 8, 2013 at Sisters of Mercy in Belmont, NC. Born October 31, 1958 in Charlotte, Katy was the oldest of three children of Marion Richard Rhea and Virginia Buff Rhea. She attended Statesville Road Elementary, Ranson Junior High, and West Charlotte High School.

Katy was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Buff Rhea. She is survived by her children, Christina Reynolds Young of Concord, Jeffrey Reynolds of Charlotte, Alexander Millwood of Concord, and Meghan Millwood of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by her father, Marion Richard Rhea; her sisters, Carol Phillips of Huntsville, Alabama, and Lisa Bryant of Charlotte; nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service in the chapel of Harry & Bryant, Thursday, August 15th at 4:00 p.m. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Sisters of Mercy in Belmont or to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region.
