Linda was born on May 20, 1939, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to the late William McCullough Ardrey and Mary Ellen Hawfield Ardrey. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Horace Frank Byrum, Sr. She is survived by her son Frank Byrum, Jr. (Caroline), her daughter Lisa Byrum Eberts (Earl), her grandchildren Amanda, Michael (Tiffany), Brice (Shanna); siblings Jane Clawson, Bill Ardrey, Erskine Ross, Tom Ardrey, Sam Ardrey, and Joe Ardrey; and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Harrison United Methodist Church where she and Horace were MYF counselors, and she participated in the library committee, Friendship Circle, and Stephen Ministry. She was involved in the Christian Business Women, Lower Providence Community House, Daughters of the American Revolution – Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence Chapter, and enjoyed golf, painting and crafts, and reading.
A funeral service will be held at Harrison United Methodist Church, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 2:00PM. There will be a reception for family and friends in Hammill Hall at the church after the gravesite service.
