Mary Melton Rowe

She was born on April 27th 1936 to the late James and Dessie May Melton. Mrs. Rowe made her home in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband, Jackie Rowe of 70 years and her six children. She was a homemaker who loved to cook for her family and friends. She was very involved in her church activities and loved singing with her husband songs of grace.

Mrs. Rowe loved to travel to the beach and mountains and had even taken a cruise with her son and his wife. She even took a cross-country trip with her daughter and her husband. She loved getting visits from her family and friends that would light up her day she was loved by all that knew her and had a way of making you feel like the most special person in the room her warm kind smile will be missed dearly. We take comfort in knowing she is with her Lord and savior.

She is in her new body, rejoicing with her two sons and all that were waiting to greet her. Mary Rowe leaves behind her beloved husband of 70 years, Mr Jackie Duane Rowe, daughter Patricia Kern (Mark) of York, SC Elizabeth Rowe of Charlotte N.C.Sons, Ronald Rowe(Wendy) of Pekin, Indiana and Joseph Rowe(Susan)of Pasadena, MD

She is preceded in death by sons: Jackie Rowe Jr and Donald Rowe and she will truly be missed by her 16 grandchildren: Layla, Frankie, Jesse, Jackie III, Tugg, Chris, Angie,Lauren, Paige, Marilyn,LeAnn, Jennifer, Jessie, Jackie, Stephanie, Joshua. She also had 23 great-grandchildren.

The Rowe family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, the 23rd of July, 2024 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. A Homegoing service will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel on Wednesday, the 24th of July, 2024. Committal will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
