Mary’s favorite activity and pastime was her love of golf. She excelled as a player, first at Sunnycroft Golf Club in Clarksburg, where she won the women’s title in 1946, then later on in Charlotte at Sharon Golf Club and Carmel Country Club, where she won several championships. She also enjoyed playing bridge with “the girls”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Iris C. Wyer. Also preceding her in death were two sisters and three brothers.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Robards of Denver, Co.; son, Gregg Wyer and his wife Lilliam of Charlotte; grandson, Christopher Wyer and his wife Janice, and their son Jonathan, of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; along with several nieces. The family would like to extend thanks to the loving staff at CMC-Pineville for the care of Mary during her illness.
