Michael Paul Michel

Mr. Michel, 49, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at his home. He was born September 17, 1961 in East Meadow, Long Island, NY, son of Joseph Michel and the late Patricia LaCicero Michel.

Mike’s greatest joy was spending time and being creative with his children. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, and riding his Harley. Mike was a leader, and liked to make people laugh; and was always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone that needed it.

In addition to his father, Mike is survived by his wife, Heather Deleguardia Michel; daughter, Hailey Michel; sons, Jack Williamson-Michel and Zachary Michel; sister, Deborah Watson and husband Jerry; brother, Joseph Michel; and nephew, Allen Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC with Rev. Michael Gillstrap officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:45 p.m. Burial will be private.
