

Charlotte - Mrs. Nell Wallace Farley, 94, of Charlotte, died peacefully on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1920 in McKeesport, PA, daughter of the late Catherine Bertha Tomedolskey Wallace and John Wallace.
Nell graduated from McKeesport High School. She married John F. Farley in 1943 and worked as a bookkeeper while her husband served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Nell then became a full-time stay-at-home mother to Kathleen, Rebecca and John. They moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in June of 1967. She was a very faithful member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and was actively involved in several women’s groups and perpetual adoration. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years and her son-in-law, Samuel Hauser.
She is survived by her daughter Kathleen and husband Frank Tripi of Duxbury, MA; daughter Rebecca Hauser of Fayetteville, NC; and son John and wife Neal Farley of Matthews, NC. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her seven grandchildren: Erin Tripi Grealis, Adam Tripi, Samuel Hauser, Laura Hauser Pugh, Carrie Farley, John F. Farley III, and Sarah Hauser. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Abby, Quinn, and Mickey Grealis, Gary Hill and Atticus Dollar, Katie and Molly Pugh, and Samuel and Nolan Hauser.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Saint Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Visitation will take place an hour before the service.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28211.
