

Mrs. Watts, of Charlotte, died on September 8, 2011 at Stanly Manor in Albemarle, NC. Born on March 18, 1922 in Burlington, N. C. to the late Daniel and Mettawee Malone, she was a graduate of Women’s College of UNC (now UNC Greensboro).
During World War II, she worked as a secretary at Fairchild Aircraft Corporation. She was a long time member of The National Society of Decorative Painters and their local chapter, The Tar Heel Decorative Painters. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and an active member of the Senior Primetime group.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, C. A. “Whitey” Watts; grandsons, Michael Kellen and David Kellen; and brother, Daniel Malone, Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Janice Kellen and son-in-law, Peter Kellen and Bonnie Winecoff and son-in-law, John Winecoff; son, Kerry Watts and daughter-in-law, Laurie Watts; grandchildren, Kristen Johnson, Carrie Winecoff, and Amy Winecoff; and great-grandchildren, Kellen Johnson, Claire Kellen, and Olivia Kellen.
The family will receive friends at Harry and Bryant Company in Charlotte on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Services will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Bill Cockrill will officiate. Graveside service at Sharon Memorial Park will follow.
