Following a brief illness Patsy fell into the arms of her Jesus on Friday, May 24, 2013. Born in Reidsville, NC on a florist table, as her family ran and operated a florist business, on August 6, 1934 to Helen and W.J. “Bill” Rudisill. She loved her Forest Hill Church family, her family, and special friends at Celanese, where she worked for 32 years. She made a super pound cake. She was a wonderful mother and a grandmother who unceasingly prayed for her family as well as for others. She always wore a smile, a French Twist hairstyle, and was loved by everyone she met. She loved to give gifts and send care packages of food to others.
She was preceded in death by her brother Billy, who died two days after he was born, and her husband of 52 years, Winfred W.D. Yarborough, Jr. She is survived by daughter Peggy Rogers and son-in-law Gene Rogers; granddaughters Angela Beard and husband Brett, and Allison Rogers.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill Church, 7224 Park Road, in Charlotte, NC. Her family will receive friends following Patsy's service. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte.
The family would like to thank the excellent and caring staff at Levine Dickson Hospice House, Presbyterian Novant, CMC Rehab, and CMC Main, as well as all those who visited, sent cards, and prayed for Patsy during her illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Forest Hill Church or Levine Dickson Hospice House.
