Paul Jackson

Paul C. Jackson, age 84 of Charlotte passed away February 14, 2012 at his residence after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the son of the late Charles T. and Rilla Jackson. He was born on October 10, 1927, the youngest of ten children. He was married to Audrey Godfrey Jackson for 68 years. He served in the US Air Force and was employed at P. C. Godfrey Company 43 years before opening P. C. Jackson Plumbing Company in 1986. He was past president of the N. C. PHCC and the Charlotte PHCC. Paul was a very active member of Durham Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and served on many of the committees or held as many jobs as there were in the church. He opened and closed the doors of the church for over 40 years.

Wife: Audrey Godfrey Jackson

Daughter: Vickie Jackson-Robertson (Richard) of Mooresville, N. C.

Son: Andy N. Jackson (Beth) of Charlotte

Eight grandchildren: Summer Wisdom (Hunter), Drew Jackson, Rachel Jackson, Taylor Robertson, Tallon Wisdom, Sam Robertson (Jennifer), Erin Robertson, and Heather Carpenter, two great grandchildren, Mairin and Ben Robertson,

Brother: Wade Jackson (Jean) of Charlotte.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Jackson Bouren, six sisters and two brothers.

A private graveside for the family will be at 11:00AM on Thursday at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:30PM at Durham Memorial Baptist Church, Reverend Rick Schubert officiating. A visitation will follow the memorial service at the church.
