Paul Overcash Sr.

Paul V. Overcash Sr 73 of charlotte went home to be with the lord on October 31, 2021.

Born June 8th,1948 in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of Floyd and Vergie

Overcash. He married the love of his life, Pasty McKinney, on June 24th,1967 after

dating for 6 years.

Paul was a devoted family man, who loved being around his kids and grandkids. He

enjoyed going on vacations and daytrips from the mountains to the beaches. He spent

many weekends grilling out, fishing, and attending sport events. His favorite channel

was ME tv watching Andy Griffith and cowboy shows. Paul started plumbing at the age

of 16, where he learned from his dad and brothers. He went on to become a master

plumber and received plumber of the year. He was a great teacher who taught many

others the plumbing trade. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church on David

Cox Rd. He loved his church family dearly.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and his beloved

furbabies: Poncho, Justice, and Smokey.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Pasty, children: Paul Jr. “Bubba” (Renee)

Overcash, Lisa “Sissy” (Mark) Honeycutt, Tammy (Marshall) Rackley, and Michael

(Amanda) Overcash, grandchildren; Katelyn, Chris, Ashley, Maddie, and Haley;

Furbaby; Stark and many grand furbabies

A Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 2 pm prior to the funeral service Friday, November 5th 2021 at McEwen Funeral Home, Mint Hill located 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road Charlotte NC 28227. A graveside service will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens located at 7632 Hood Road, Charlotte NC 28215.
