Perry Hager was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. For over three decades, Perry worked in the lumber industry, his natural humor and ease with others earning him the claim of best salesman at H&S Lumber.
He was also a proud member of the Scottish Rite and Oasis Shrine, achieving the rank of Thirty-Second Degree Mason and, in his younger years, working to support the Shriner’s Hospital through parades.
Perry is preceded by his wife, Frances Wright Hager; his daughter, Dawn Hager Alexander; his parents, Edna and Clarence Hager; and his many siblings. He is survived by his grandson, Brandon Alexander; many nieces and nephews, including Allen Martin and wife Ginny and Benny Hager and wife Trisha; and his many other friends and loved ones, including Ken Carpenter, Ned and Judy Henson, Roger and Sharon Henson, Tommy Craig, and Jewell Davis.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Alexander asks that his grandfather’s work be honored with donations to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, the 19th of August from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West Chapel. A service to celebrate his life will be at 12:00 Noon. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
