Thinking of you. Happy Father’s Day. Forever thankful for you.

Phil was my roommate for a while.  He, my now ex-husband and I shared an apartment. We had so much fun! I still tell stories about my crazy Charlotte NC roommate at times. The world will be a little less fun without you, Phil.  

Phil was a pleasant person to know.  He will be missed by many.   

God will wipe away every tear from their eyes,
and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning, nor crying,
nor pain anymore,
for the former things have passed away. We Will love and Miss You.

From the moment you were born you were special to me. “Sissy wait up”. Catching your pitches, tossing the football across Archdale, meeting you for Mexican when I could afford it, being there when my beautiful nieces were born. The five word texts just to say we love each other. I will remember our time together with love always. I will miss you with all of my being. Your Sissy 

I will always treasure our trip to New Orleans together. We had so much fun. Keith has been so happy that Phil was doing so good with the dealership.  We are all so proud of his success. He was a good man and we will miss the friendship.

Phil! Thanks for the memories!

I have known Phil for 20 plus years. We met when he came to work as a salesperson at Larry Jay Mitsubishi when he was in his early 20's. Throughout my interactions with Phil I found he was a man of character. 

Through the years we developed a very strong relationship. We always were able to communicate our thoughts to each other in a way we both understood.  Phil was a wonderful support for me in operating Larry Jay Mitsubishi during the last ten years and was able to accomplish the goal's he and I put into place for him to purchase 100% of the stock and property.  During those ten years I saw Phil grow in so many ways. He was a wonderful father, husband, employee, employer and friend to me and so many others.

Phil's life was a excellent example of how we should handle the challenge's we face in life and make the very best outcomes occur. I will miss Phil! I will miss, his smile, his humor, his knowledge, his example and most of all his friendship.

My hope and prayer is that Nicole, Taylor, Lilly, Austin and all his family and friends can have peace and are able to grow themselves by the example that Phil provided by how he lived and loved life.

Whew, this is a tough one. I have known Phil for a very long time and as much as we didn’t see eye to eye on basically everything (LOL), it has been amazing to watch him grow as a person, husband and father over these last several years. I was so proud of him. He was an amazing father to our Lily and for that I will forever be grateful. I am so thankful for the time that Lily had with him and all the wonderful memories they made together. We will continue to preserve his memory and celebrate his life for the rest of our days! We’ll miss you Phily-Phil. Sending all our love to Nicole, Taylor, Lily and Austin and will always be there for them.

Phil was a great guy who always put his family first and loved his wife and kids tremendously, he was the type of man that a wife needs as a husband and and a kid needs as a Dad. I knew Phil since I was a young kid, now I’m around the same age Phil was when he started his career in the automobile industry and every time I seen him throughout the years he always had a smile on his face. He treated everyone he cared about like family. He loved his Panthers and Hornets and I still remember him, Dad and me talking about how good or how terrible both teams were doing and even through bad seasons he was still a fan because Phil always seen the good in tough times and would tell others to do the same. In the words of the great Dr. Seuss don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. So long for now, until we meet again!!!

Phil was the best mentor I've ever had,  he definitely changed my life and gave me the tools I needed to keep going. It has been a pleasure to work with him and I am forever grateful that he gave me a chance and believed in me and taught me so much. He was far more than a mentor, however that had the most powerful impact on me.  I will always miss talking to him, cutting up and having the best time selling cars and hitting our goals!

I remembered when I first met Phil at the interview for the F&I position at Larry Jay Mitsubishi. We talked 10% about the job and 90% of that time about our families, the Panthers and the Jets(my team). From that moment we became brothers. We developed and built that mutual respect even after I left. I can't remember Phil calling me by my name. He always called me "Buddy ". I can't  still hear him saying  " Hey Buddy, what's for lunch".
 Well Buddy,  take your rest in peace. Gone too soon but never will you be forgotten. Go Panthers. 

We lost a Great Guy in Phil. I have known him many years and he was an Amazing Man. He and his family are like family to me. I Loved him and we had many years of working together. I Lost a Piece of my Heart when I got the news . I will be there for Niki and the children whenever they need me.  Phil I Love you  and you are so missed already.

My brother from another Mother....my Boss......My ACE........., but most importantly, my friend..........saying you will be missed is an under statement!! You impacted my life in so many ways that it would take a lifetime to say! I love you Brother and I will always be the best version of me because of YOU!! Keep smiling down over us.. as we will forever continue your legacy.  I have typed  A lot because I can hear you saying to me now, ..."GO TO WORK" LOL!!!!!! Love you Bro!!!

It was November 26, 2015. Nicole, Phil my uncle John and myself met up for the Cowboy Panthers game in Arlington, TX. We all had a great time talking some cars but most of all we all enjoyed a great meet-up and a wild game. Although my Cowboys lost I won't forget the memory of us all hanging out for that one great day. Phil, Rest in Peace in the hands of God you will be missed. 

A friend gone way to soon. You will truly be missed but never forgotten. 

JAW Motorsports will be racing this Saturday night to end our 2021 season with a heavy heart and in memory of one of my biggest supporter, boss and longtime friend Phil Burrage.
I am at the tail end of my 20th year working at Larry Jay Mitsubishi and met Phil shortly after when he came to work there and I’ve watch him grow from the bottom to the top.  Every once in a while you meet someone that you know instantly they are destined for great things and Phil was one of them individuals. His drive and work ethic along with his friendly, outgoing, caring personality is a rare trait in todays world and it was an honor to have known you and call you a friend first then Boss! 
Phil and Keith have been supporting my racing since 2014, keeping the engines purring, tires rolling, and the fenders straight on the 83w race car over the last 8 years. After Phil purchased the dealership from Keith in 2020 he continued supporting me and my race team. He was excited to one night bring his 4yr old son Austin out to the racetrack to catch some of the action. We were both excited to hopefully get him into my FWD race car I’ve been working on putting together at some point but we never got that chance. I know how much Austin was into anything with motors from our numerous discussions the last couple of years and will do everything I can to help keep that passion alive in him!!
I am gonna miss our weekly talks about life, family, work, and the past weekends night of racing. 
I will take peace and comfort in knowing that you are in heaven now free from all of the pain and evil here on earth looking over all of us that you loved and cared about with that huge smile of yours and will be riding shotgun with me every lap I make!! You are truly loved and are gonna be missed by so many. Until we meet again my friend God speed.

About 8 years ago, Phil gave me a chance to service the cars at the dealership.  This helped me expand my business when I really need the work.   He was a great guy, with a great attitude, that loved the car business.   Thank you for your wisdom and the opportunity that you gave me.   I can't believe that you're gone.  The dealership won't be the same without you.  May you rest in peace!

I used to cut Phillips hair when I lived in Charlotte.he came in every 2 weeks. He was the nicest guy and I was always amazed on his drive of life and his high goals he had for such a young man. He was such a gentleman;polite;funny;and I must say good looking! He also gave me a great deal on my mishubeshi. May he rest in piece.

Everytime I saw Phil he had a smile on his face.  His bright blue eyes would brighten the ENTIRE room.  He had the BEST stories about life.  Phil was a hard worker and so incredibly AMAZING at his job.  I asked him to help me find a new car and within 2 hours he found me my Dream car!   This car was WAY better and cooler than what I was thinking for myself but Phil said "no, Angela this car is YOU.  You can rock it!" Everytime I get in my car I feel so cool.  Thank you Phil! 
I will never forget the night Biagio and I went out dancing with Phil and Nicole.  All eyes on Phil and Niki as they broke it down on the dance floor.   This man has mad moves!  Photo attached from that night.

Phil was in such a wonderful place as a husband, father, friend, and businessman.   He always had a smile on his face and treated everyone he met with class and dignity, especially so my son Dylan who he treated as his own.  I miss you more than I can express, my dear friend.  I can hear his sign off from our many conversations, “Love you big daddy”.  Love you too, Phil.  

We have had many laughs over the past 20 plus years. You could always put a smile on my face. You will forever be missed but never forgotten. Love you my friend.

Too many to count but we always had each other’s back seeing eye to eye no but at end of day he knew I had him and I knew he had me.. tough one to swallow but he would want me and everyone else to keep it going so I’m gonna make sure that happens
