

Langdon Young CHARLOTTE - Langdon Young, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. He was born December 31, 1957, in Charlotte, NC. Langdon was the son of Mary G. Young and the late Ralph L. Young, Sr. and grandson of the late Dr. Raymond A. and Emma B. Young of Charlotte. His youth was filled with building rockets and he was invited to Cape Kennedy to watch the last moon shot. He was a member of Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Olympic High School and was an honor graduate from York Technical College, Rock Hill, SC with an associates degree in Engineering Graphics Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology. He worked with Duke Power, Powdersville Animal Hospital and several engineering firms. At the time of his death he was employed by Dailmer Truck North America in Mount Holly. Langdon is survived by his mother Mary G. Young; son Rodney Bryant Jr. (Amy); daughter Amber Rae Young; son Patrick Langdon Young; and granddaughter Payton Bryant; sisters Emily West (Jim), and Patricia Young (Terry Herrington). The burial will be private. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center immediately after the service.
