Ransom Morgan Suit III

Ransom Morgan Suit, III, 69, of Monroe, passed away on January 12, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center. A native of Sullivan County, TN, he was the son of the late Ransom and Ruby Jones Suit. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps, and was preceded in death by many more fallen heroes. He graduated from Dobyns Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN, attended East Tennessee State University and retired from Carolinas Medical Center as a Networking Engineer.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth “Lysa” Seymour and fiancé Jason of Monroe, NC; by his son, Anthony Bresina of Matthews; by his grandchildren, Ryan Seymour and Lauren Plyler; by his twin sister, Charlotte Russell of Huntersville; by a niece Shaara Vaughn (Mike) and nephew Brad Russell (Kristi); and by several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Military Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Military Honors will follow the service in the Chapel. Inurnment will occur at a later date in Kingsport, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, prior to the service. An opportunity for people to speak in an “open mic” format will be given. The Patriot Guard, Rolling Thunder, Indian Trail VFW, and members of the US Marine Corps will be providing honors.
