Rebecca Nantz Felsman

She was born the 22nd of September, 1940 in Charlotte, North Carolina, the youngest of six children to the late Glaspy E. Nantz and Blanche Laura Cloninger Nantz. Rebecca was a lifelong homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Rebecca had a natural love for babies and children where she enjoyed keeping them in her home. Above all, she had a love for Jesus and taught that love to her children. With her love of children and Jesus, she was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery and sang in the church choir. Most recently she was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Granite Falls, North Carolina.

Rebecca enjoyed painting, working with crafts, singing and playing the organ and her all-time favorite holiday was Christmas.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, the 19th of March, 2024 at Forest Lawn West Funeral Service. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 2:00 PM in the Paul Helton Chapel at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

She is survived by her five children: Ricky Christenbury (Marcy) of Titusville, FL; Angela Beasley of Marshville, NC; Renae Moore (Chris) of Mint Hill, NC; Heather Drury (Jeff) of Hudson, NC and Tammy Shue of Varney, WV; nine grandchildren: Carrie Beasley, Travis Beasley, Cassidy Brundage, Lexi Moore, Tyler Drury, Kenny Shue, Zachary Self, Rhianna Shue and Gracie Cherry; seven great grandchildren and one surviving sister, Ruth Little.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Felsman; her granddaughter, Candace Beasley; her brother and three sisters: Kenneth Nantz, Josephine Canupp, Martha Mauney, and Betty Lou Hart.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank her special nephew, Kris Little, for helping and assisting his Aunt Rebecca over the last 1o years.
