Born on March 1, 1965, in Sayre, PA to Charles Robert Thurston and Annie Heidi Wilbrow Thurston, Renee grew up in Athens until the age of fourteen when her family moved to North Carolina.
After graduating from Northwest Cabarrus High School in Kannapolis NC, Renee held several jobs and eventually started working for Pass & Seymour/Legrand where she was awarded a plaque for over 35 years of service. It was there that she met and eventually married Charles Williams. They were married until Charles passed in 2022.
Left to mourn her loss is Renee’s father, Charles Robert Thurston; daughter, Sarah (Christopher) Norus; son, Dallas Williams; grandson, Adam Norus; and brothers, Mark (Candice) Thurston and Curt (Eleanor) Thurston.
