Professionally, he was an auditor for Carlyle and Co. for 17 years and then found his niche as a manufacturers’ sales rep.
Dicky was a "low handicap" golfer, fabulous gourmet cook and a talented musician. Happiness for Dick was playing the piano and singing gospel music with family and friends.
His sense of humor and quick wit put him at the center of attention wherever he went. These gifts will provide special memories for years to come.
Dicky's spirituality and love and trust in the Lord sustained him for the past seventeen years while dealing with cancer. The family thanks everyone for their prayers and acts of kindness.
Special thanks to Dr. James Boyd and the staff of Oncology Specialists of Charlotte and Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care.
