

Richard William Osborn, 61, of Charlotte, NC, died unexpectedly at home on March 26, 2012. He was born on in Louisville, Kentucky on December 29, 1950. He was the son of the late Richard William Osborn Sr. and Jane McGrath Osborn, and beloved brother to the late David and Michael Osborn.
Rick moved to Charlotte as a young child and attended O’Donoghue and Charlotte Catholic High School. He graduated from NC State University with a degree in Civil Engineering; and earned his MBA from the Babcock School at Wake Forest University. He was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judy Haubenreiser Osborn, and his beloved daughters, Elizabeth “Keiley” and Abigail (Abby) Jane both of Chapel Hill. He is also survived by sister, Charlotte (Sherry) and her husband, Jerry Rich of Kinston, NC and their son, Mark Rich(Stacie) and great-nephew, Walker.
Rick was a loving father, husband and friend to many. He had a passion for sales and marketing and was a hard worker his whole life. He loved nothing more than spending time with his daughters, sharing joy with everyone he met, and golfing with his best friends. He will be missed dearly and will always be remembered for his kindness and his generous spirit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday March 29, 2012 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church with the Reverend Frank O’Rourke, Celebrant. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte.
