Jake was born on January 22, 1969 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He spent time in multiple places growing up, but always spoke fondly of his childhood in Eden Prairie, MN before moving to Charlotte, NC.
He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1991 and enjoyed being a member of the TKE Fraternity, whom he loved as family.
Jake was a devoted father and husband who loved spending time with his family, including playing video games with his son, Ryan and watching college and NFL games with his wife, Ann every weekend possible.
Jake is survived by his wife Ann Brandon Hallberg of Charlotte, NC, son Ryan Jacob Hallberg of Wilmington, NC and father John Herman Hallberg of Fort Mill, SC.
