

Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, May 14th at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, Reverend Gary Bryant officiating. Visitation will be one hour (11-12PM) prior to the service in the Church Parlor. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Military Rites.
Mr. Killian was born in Daniel’s Community, Lincoln County August 27, 1916, son of the late David C. and Bessie Lantz Killian. He was a member of Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, Elder Emeritus of the church, graduated from Appalachian State Teachers College Class of 1937. He served in WWII in the Army Air Corps and later the USAF Reserves retiring in 1976 having attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. Mr. Killian was actively involved in his church and American Legion sports programs. He was an avid gardener known for prized tomatoes He enjoyed family outings, genealogy, sports and reading. Mr. Killian was a retired Postal Employee.
Surviving are daughters, Betsy Huneycutt and husband, Sherman and daughter, Roberta Hipp and husband, Lee, brother, Dr. William D. Killian, nine grandchildren, Cindy Zidanic and husband, Matt, Camille Carter and husband, Nathan, Christin Walenczak and husband, Jimmy, Carmen Lemire and husband, Justin, Andy Clarke and wife, Meredith, Brandon Clark and wife, Kim, Jenna Shorter and husband, Jonathan, Keely Rademacher and husband, Jesse and Kent Hipp and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Esther Finger Killian, brother, Frank Killian, and sister Elizabeth Mosteller.
