Ruth Wentz Holt

Mrs. Holt, 87, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 5, 2012 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born January 17, 1925 in Union County, North Carolina, one of five children, to the late Juke Ernest Wentz and Annie Faye Helms Wentz. Mrs. Holt was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a longtime member of Eastway Church of God.

The Holt family will gather to greet friends 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Eastway Church of God. A service to celebrate her life will follow at 7:30 PM in the sanctuary with Bishop Dan Carter officiating. Burial will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Sharon Memorial Park. Bearing the casket of Mrs. Holt will be Buddy Laws, Chase Laws, Donald Austin, Jay Webster, Ted Fogel and John Ziegler.

Mrs. Holt is survived by her son, Dale Holt of Concord, NC; one grandson, Shane Gregory; one sister, Polly Wentz Ziegler of Mooresville, NC; four nieces and two nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Franklin Holt; a daughter, Brenda Holt Brown; two sisters, Charlotte Wentz Simmons and Willie Wentz Austin and a brother, Ernest Ray Wentz.
