Ruth May Knight Mullis passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016. She was a member of Shady Brook Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Miller Mullis Sr.; and daughter, Terry Mullis Wike; parents, John Andrew and Julia Ann Knight; brothers, Otha Andrew, Charles William, and Ira Therman Knight; and sister, Mary Lee Knight Spoon. Survivors include her son, Robert “Bobby” Mullis Jr.; grandkids, Brian Kennedy, Tonya Wike Barker, Meredith Wike Pope, and Derick Mullis; 5 great-grandkids; and son-in-law, Junior Franklin Wike. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 5, 2016 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. with interment immediately following in Sharon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Shady Brook Baptist Church.
