Ruth Gray Murchison

Mrs. Murchison, 90, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. She was born in Charlotte on April 25, 1923 to the late Will and Carrie Gray.

She attended Sharon School and was past President of the Women’s Society of Ebenezer ARP Church where she attended for 75 years. Ruth was a true and faithful servant to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a godly woman who had a great impact on the lives of her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Murchison; her siblings Sara Moss, Carl, Floyd, Lewis, Bill, and Olin Gray.

Ruth is survived by her daughters; Pam Rogers and Kathy Curtis and her husband Paul, her brother; Franklin Gray. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at McEwen Pineville Chapel. A funeral will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday July 17, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church 2009 W. Arrowood Rd. Charlotte, NC. Interment will follow at Ebenezer ARP Church Cemetery.
