Sally S. Abrams

While living in Hot Springs, South Dakota, she met and married Phil Abrams in July of 1952. Sally retired from Cigna Insurance Company after 14 years of service.

Sally enjoyed many circles of friends: Green thumb Garden Club, Bridge, TOPS, Heisey Glass, United Methodist Women and her Gourmet Group.

She was the happiest being in her flower garden, making cards for family and friends or trying different recipes for others to taste. She enjoyed the Charlotte Pops and singing in the church Senior Choir. She and Phil traveled both within and outside the USA. Sally enjoyed life to the fullest, snowmobiling and riding in a hot air balloon.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Abrams and Dianne Dondero, a long time family friend; as well as many nieces and nephews from Alabama, South Carolina and the North Carolina area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil of 62 Years.

The family would like to thank those dedicated and caring staff members in the Memory Care Unit at Watercrest and Gentiva Hospice Team.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the Providence United Methodist Church, 2810 Providence Road, Charlotte, NC 28211. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, Sally requested that memorial contributions be made to PUMC Senior Choir, 2810 Providence Road, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28211.
