Samantha Davis, 67, of Mt. Holly, NC passed away in Caromont Hospital in Gastonia, NC. She loved many people but was loved by more. She was known as Samantha or Sam to everyone since she was in middle school.
Though born in Baltimore, MD, she grew up in NC. Samantha had 6 children (9 grandchildren): Samantha Price (Michael and Lacie), Dawn Cray (Trey and Evan), Danielle Cray, Eddie Davis, Jr (Eliana and Alyssa), Tiffany Price (Logan), Josh Snyder, and Shana Snyder (Nevaeh and younger daughter). She was hoping to meet her first great grandchild but didn’t get the chance. Samantha worked at NAPA until she was unable to work due to health reasons.
Samantha is survived by the love of her life, Eddie, all of her children, grandchildren and her great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Cindy and brothers Danny, Ricky, Franky, and their families, as well as her mom, Shirley Gillikin. She and her siblings were separated as children and recently reconnected with a couple of them. She was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Norma.
Samantha’s family and friends will celebrate her life at a casual graveside service at Sharon Memorial Gardens in Charlotte. The service will start at 1:00 on Saturday, October 28. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, SC or the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research would be greatly appreciated in her memory.
