

The son of the late Max Lincoln Bell and Frankie Wood Burrow, he was born in Lexington, North Carolina on September 14, 1960. Steve graduated from North Davidson High School in 1979. He faithfully served our country in the US Navy.
Steve worked as a long haul truck driver for Yellow Freight Lines for twenty years. He was a proud and loyal member of the Teamster's local union number 71. Steve served his brother teamsters as a shop steward for many years. He faithfully attended every Labor Day parade.
Steve was the best, most generous, and supportive brother in the world to Teresa Marshall and husband, Greg Marshall of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina; Venessa Link and husband, Michael Link of Lexington, North Carolina, and Alisa Bell of Pisgah Forest, North Carolina.
He was a devoted uncle to Kelly Nichols of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Leslie Marshall of Asheville, NC, Gregory Marshall of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Jacob Sherman of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Steve was a conscientious recycler and diligently collected litter while on his neighborhood walks. He had an infectious laugh that brightened everyone's day. He was a straight shooter who spoke his mind. He had a kind and open heart. A lifelong music lover, Steve enjoyed going to concerts, often generously paying for tickets for friends and family. He adopted many feral cats in his neighborhood. He was a truly unique soul and we are forever grateful to have had him in our lives.
