Steven Anthony Muenow Sr.

Born February 12th, 1957 in Shreveport, LA, he is the son of Loretta Yuknis Muenow and the late Richard Alan Muenow. Following graduation from Sandy Springs High School in Atlanta, GA, Steve furthered his education at Auburn University where he met his wife Sarah. His career as a construction manager began in 1979 with Construction Adhesive Bonding, Inc. from which he retired in 2023 having served most of those years as general manager.

The joy of Steve’s life was his family. He adored his wife, Sarah Kloeti Muenow, whom he married April 19th, 1980. He was a devoted father, father-in-law, grandfather (Pops), brother and son.

Steve was an active member with the Boy Scouts of America; a dedicated leader for over 25 years. Other interests and hobbies include boating, fishing, master builder of wooden model boats and pinewood derby cars, creating firework displays, and enjoying many more adventurous and dangerous things.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sarah Kloeti Muenow; three children, Steven Anthony Muenow, Jr. of Boston, MA, Michael Palfrey Muenow of Seattle, WA, and Paul Harrison Muenow of Charlotte, NC; three beloved daughters-in-law, Amy Jenkins Muenow of Boston, MA, Gillian Cato Muenow of Seattle, WA, and Susanne Daniela Muenow of Charlotte, NC; five cherished grandchildren: Marshall Palfrey Muenow, Marcie Rae Muenow, and Mason Henry Muenow, all of Seattle, WA; Benjamin Harrison Muenow and Henry Wells Muenow of Charlotte, NC; darling mother, Loretta Yuknis Muenow of Charleston, SC; as well as his siblings, Shawn Adam Muenow of Mertzon, TX, Susan Lynn Muenow of Charleston, SC, and Spencer Alan Muenow of Fort Walton Beach, FL.

A service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2nd at McEwen Funeral Home – Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road. A reception will follow the service to celebrate Steve.
