Born in Goldsboro, NC, he was a son of Clyde Thomas Saunders and Peggy Grissom Saunders. He was retired from Bowman Hollis Manufacturing.
In addition to his wife of 24 years and his parents, Mr. Saunders is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth Monaco, Summer Blevins, Jessica Blevins (Wayne George), and Rebecca Saunders; seven grandchildren, Adrianna Monaco, Nick Monaco, Bella Monaco, Brayden Monaco, Quinn Williams, Summiya Williams, and Isaiah Blevins; two brothers, Michael Thomas Saunders and David Scott Saunders (Melissa); two nieces, Haley Saunders and Shanna Ashley McPeak; three nephews, Slade Saunders, Michael Cheyenne Saunders, and Brandon Edward McPeak; and several aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
