Sue Shannon Ruck

Indian Land, SC. Sue Shannon Ruck 80, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was a gentle soul with a beautiful heart and engaging smile. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Sue graduated from Stevens College in Columbia, MO, and attended the University of Texas in Austin.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Thomas Lucian Ruck, Sr. and their four children, Shauna R. Berner (George), GA, Thomas L. Ruck, Jr. (Kay), VA, Shelly R. Shannon (Dan), IL, and Michael S. Ruck (Lynn), NC. She is also survived by twelve adored grandchildren, Jonathan, David, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Joseph, Joshua, Jack, Kaley, Danny, Bridget, Madelyn, and Eli.

Deep gratitude goes to the loving and dedicated staff of Brookdale’s Clairebridge unit, and the Hospice and Palliative Care group for the wonderful care provided.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:30 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 7031 Waxhaw Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to OLG Columbarium Fund or the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
