Tabitha B Herring

Tabitha Bryan Herring, 90, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Carmel Hills Retirement Center. She was born September 8, 1922 in Clinton, NC, a daughter of William Brunt Herring and Emma Elizabeth Whitfield Herring.

Tabitha was a long time member of Caldwell Memorial Presbyterian Church. She attended Carolina Business School and was retired from Duke Energy, where she was an accounting supervisor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Herring and Mary Johnston and brothers, James Herring and Whitfield Herring. Tabitha is survived by a nephew, James H. Johnston, III and a niece, Amelia Elizabeth Johnston.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Harry & Bryant Co., 500 Providence Rd., Charlotte. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
