Theresa Helms Reed

Theresa “Terri” Helms Reed, 65, of Denver, NC, passed away March 21, 2023 in Charlotte. Born January 20, 1958 in Portsmouth, VA, she was the daughter of the late Worth Charles and Shirley Ozelle Helms. She married William Sherrill Reed on June 29, 1991 in Winnabow, NC.

A graduate of Chester High School in SC, Terri retired from Duke Energy after 37 years of employment.

An avid fisher, Terri enjoyed Pier, Surf and Mountain Trout Fishing. She also loved her pool, spending time in the sun, day trips, trying out new restaurants with her husband, camping and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Terri will be dearly missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Sherrill Reed; sons, Ronnie (Erin) Mosley, Travis (Candice) Mosley and Joshua Reed (Maria Clark); granddaughters, Chasity, Rayna and Little Nugget (on the way); siblings, David (Sandy) Helms, Brenda Allen and Maria (Reece) Doby; half sibling, Scott Helms; step-siblings, Mike (Debra) Millwood and Renee (Tim) Ewing; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM followed by funeral service at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
