Born on December 12, 1965 in Charlotte to Howard and Frances (Lutz) Lane, Tommy graduated from Garinger High School. He worked at Pepsi of Charlotte for more than 15 years. During the last 18 years, he was employed at The Cypress of Charlotte where he “drove Miss Daisy”.
Left to mourn his loss is his devoted wife and best friend of 28 years Donna Marie Sommer Lane, loving stepchildren John Bruner and Kristi Ray (Adam), proud grandpa of three precious granddaughters Elizabeth, Savannah and Emma and a brand new great granddaughter Magnolia. Tommy is also survived by a niece, two nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends.
Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard (2022) and sister Susan (January 2024).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
