Valerie Strader Lemmons

Ms. Lemmons, age 51, of Charlotte, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center - Main. Born December 7, 1959 in Richmond, VA, she was a daughter of Stella Strader of Huntersville and the late Clyde Strader. Ms. Lemmons graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1978 and attended the Atlanta School of Cosmetology. She was a member of Huntersville Church of God.

The service to celebrate the Life of Valerie Strader Lemmons will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at McEwen Funeral Service - Derita Chapel with her pastor, Reverend Pat Childers, officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Memorial Park. The family receive friends 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Buddy; children, Jason Lemmons, Tiffany Lemmons; step daughters; Nevada Russell and Stephanie Lemmons; mother; grandchildren, Drake and Lakota Russell; siblings, Linda Matthews, Brenda Childers, Diane Conn and Dennis Strader; and numerous nieces and nephews.
