Mrs. Bradford, age 68, of Charlotte died June 8, 2017. Born December 11, 1948 in Asheville, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Alton Benfield and Gladys Moore Benfield. Mrs. Bradford was a retired, self-employed accountant and insurance agent. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Bradford enjoyed shag dancing, the beach, lighthouses and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
The service to celebrate the life of Virginia Irene Benfield Bradford will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11th at McEwen Funeral Service - Derita Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Alan (wife, Melanie) and Brian (former wife, Teresa); five granddaughters, Alyson, Lauren, Lindsey, Lacey and Maggie; and a great grandson, Greyson.
