It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Virginie Tsoumtsa, who left us on July 31, 2025, at the age of 45 in Charlotte, NC.
Born on July 10, 1980, Virginie lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and deep commitment to others. A pillar in her community, she dedicated herself tirelessly to causes that uplifted those around her—whether through hands-on service, advocacy, or quiet acts of generosity.
Virginie’s kindness was matched by a sense of rigor and principle. She held us all to high standards including herself, always believing in the potential for growth, justice, and kindness in every person and situation. She held several senior positions in major banking institutions, where she was well known for her integrity, strategic insight, and dedication. We will forever be shaped by the values she instilled in us through her constant counselling and warm but firm guidance.
She leaves behind a loving husband, Eleazer Bate Oben, and their three cherished children: Colombe, Besong, and Natalia. Though her time with us was far too short, the impact she made will last in all the lives she touched. She will be remembered for her warmth, her courage, and her dedication to making the world a better place.
Virg, darling, may you rest in peace, and may your memory be forever a blessing.
