

Wilbur Kelly Sellers of Matthews, NC, passed away at home on September 16, 2014. “Dub” was born in Chesterfield, SC, on Sept. 9, 1932, a son of the late Charles and Bertha Sellers. Dub attended schools in Chesterfield, SC, and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
Dub leaves his loving wife, Anne Richardson Sellers, to cherish his memory. Survivors also include his sisters, Margaret Sellers and Willie Culp, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dub was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Rae Sellers, Ida Mae Panella, and his brothers, Jimmy and Redmond Sellers.
Dub was a fantastic brother to his surviving sisters and cared for their every need as long as his health allowed him to keep going. He fought lung cancer for over five years, with the determination to keep on enjoying life.
Dub enjoyed his breakfast buddies frequently. He loved all sports, particularly his Gamecocks. He was an animal lover and spent many happy hours with their dog, Lucy.
Dub had the gift of making everyone that entered their home feel welcome. He was always a gentleman and will be missed by his family and friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Dub Sellers will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at McEwen Chapel on Monroe Road, with the Rev. Dr. Sarah Kalish officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park.
