Wiley “Norman” Combs, 90, passed away at home on April 1, 2017. He is predeceased in death by his wife Joyce Marie Johnson Combs, daughter Athena Marie Combs Kiser, brothers Rufus Combs, Robert Combs, Rex Combs, Carlton Combs, and sisters Eula Norris, Ila Johnson and Velma Combs.
He is survived by children Becky Corona, Michael Norman Combs, Reba Combs, stepson Roland Eugene Simmons; sisters Kathleen Moore, Josephine Isaacs, Jean McGuire, son in law Kevin Kiser; nephews Oliver Adams, Roger Combs, Rhonda Combs, and several nieces, 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Norman was a retired Navy Seal and UDT member. He loved his country very much. He was an avid golfer, NASCAR fan and a die-hard NC Tarheel fan.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd, Charlotte NC 28210. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am.
