William "Bill" Wallace Beaver

He and his wife, Martha, moved to Las Vegas from Charlotte in 2000.

Bill was born in Kannapolis, NC on June 8,1927 to John Daniel Beaver and Hattie Overcash Beaver.

He married Virginia Litaker (Ginny) in 1948 and enjoyed 39 years of marriage until her death in 1987.

Bill retired from the Post Office in 1982 after 35 years. He served proudly in the US Navy from 1945-1946 and in the Reserves from 1946-1956.

Bill and Ginny were charter members of Redeemer Lutheran Church on Ashely Rd and later long-time members of St Mark's Lutheran Church on Queens Road.

Bill loved trivia and reading about history. He liked to bowl and pitch horseshoes. He and Martha loved to travel, particularly visiting the National Parks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Martha, as well as his children; Dennis William Beaver and wife Pam, Renee Beaver Sechrist of Matthews, NC, John Mark Beaver of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Jeffrey Leland Beaver and step-daughter Shannon Rosenberg and husband Sean, as well as eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Bill is predeceased by five brothers and a stepson.

A memorial service will be held on June 8th, 2024 at 11am in the Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel located at 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte followed by a graveside service.
