“Joe”

Joe, 53, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Hospice care at Presbyterian Hospital. He was in the company of his loving family and in the devoted care of hospice.

Born May 8, 1962 in Mooresville, NC, Joe was a son of Bill Goodman and the late Sue Goodman. Joe was a very talented Master Barber for more than 30 years. During his career he co-owned several successful businesses and help to mold many successful barbers and stylists.

Joe led an interesting life and made many friends along the way. He loved to travel with friends and family. He always had a love for animals. His dog, Coco Chanel, was his child and they shared an unconditional love for one another. Joe also shared an unconditional love with his cousins, Diane Atwell Turner and Gail Atwell. In addition to being family, Joe, Diane and Gail shared a special friendship as children, through their teen years, and into adulthood.

In addition to his father, Bill Goodman, Joe is survived by his brother, Craig Goodman; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Goodman; and two nephews, Ethan and Jack Goodman, all of Mooresville, NC; and last but not least his loving dog, Coco Chanel.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Goodman.

A service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16th at Fieldstone Presbyterian Church, 804 Fieldstone Rd,, Mooresville, NC 28115. The family looks forward to seeing friends and family for the service.
